About Our Tools
Six everyday utilities, free and instant, with nothing to install and no sign-up. Each one does a single job that comes up often enough in Malaysian classrooms, offices and homes to be worth a bookmark.
What each one is for
The Randomizer picks a number or a name from a list, and the Team Maker splits a list into groups — between them they cover most of what a teacher needs to make a fair decision in front of a class. The Unit Converter handles length, weight, volume and temperature across metric and imperial.
The Age & Date Calculator gives an exact age or the gap between two dates. The GPA & CGPA Calculator works on the 4.00 scale used by Malaysian universities. The SST & Income Tax Calculator covers both the tax added to a price and an estimate of annual income tax for a resident individual.
Everything runs in your browser
None of these tools send your data anywhere. Names, dates, grades and income figures are processed on your own device and are never uploaded, stored or logged — the calculation happens in the page you are looking at.
That is worth knowing before you paste a class register or type a salary into a website. It also means the tools work with a poor connection once the page has loaded, and that nothing is retained when you close the tab.
The two that need a caveat
The tax calculator is an estimate for planning, not a filing figure. It uses resident individual rates, expects chargeable income rather than gross salary, and excludes rebates, zakat and business income. Tax rules change between assessment years, so check LHDN before relying on a number.
The GPA calculator uses the scale most Malaysian public universities follow, but institutions differ — particularly over whether an A+ is worth 4.00 or more. Your faculty handbook is the authority on yours.
Made for classrooms as much as for individuals
Several of these exist because a teacher needed them. Picking a student at random, splitting thirty names into six groups without an argument, and working out an exact age for school-entry cut-offs are all weekly tasks in a Malaysian school.
They are deliberately plain: no sign-up wall, no saved history, nothing to configure before the tool does its job. If you want something to think about rather than something to calculate, the games at cerdikcerdik.com/games are next door.
Frequently asked questions
Are the tools free to use?
Yes, all six are free with no sign-up and no limits. The site is funded by advertising.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Every calculation runs in your browser on your own device. Names, dates, grades and income figures are never uploaded or stored, and nothing is kept once you close the tab.
Can I use the tax calculator for filing?
Treat it as a planning estimate only. It excludes rebates, zakat and business income, expects chargeable income rather than gross salary, and tax rules change between assessment years — check LHDN or a licensed tax agent before filing.
Do the tools work offline?
Once a tool's page has loaded it calculates without needing the network, since the work happens in your browser. You will need a connection to load the page in the first place.
