About Us
Who we are and why we built CerdikCerdik
Our Mission
CerdikCerdik.com was built with one simple goal: to make learning fun for everyone. We believe everyone deserves access to engaging, high-quality educational content in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Most learning sites available to Malaysian families are built somewhere else for someone else. They teach in one language, use examples from another country's classroom, and treat switching between languages as a problem to be solved rather than the way people here actually live. We started from the opposite assumption.
So everything here runs in English and Bahasa Malaysia side by side, one tap apart. The mental arithmetic challenge is congak, the tradition taught in Malaysian primary schools, not a generic maths drill. The tools calculate CGPA on the scale Malaysian universities use and SST at Malaysian rates. The quiz asks about Malaysian states and history alongside world geography.
What We Offer
- 🧠Daily Quiz — A new quiz question every day covering science, maths, history, and general knowledge.
- 🔢Congak — Mental arithmetic challenges to sharpen your number skills.
- 🎮Games Hub — 21 games covering logic, memory, words, arithmetic and reaction speed, from Sudoku and Minesweeper to bilingual vocabulary matching.
- 🛠️Tools — six free utilities including a GPA and CGPA calculator on the Malaysian 4.00 scale, an SST and income tax calculator, and a team maker for classrooms.
- 📖Blog — articles on how these skills actually work, from what congak is to why sudoku is a logic puzzle rather than a maths one.
Who It's For
Primary school children get the most obvious use out of it — congak at the Easy and Medium levels follows the arithmetic taught in Standard 1 to 3, and the word games build first vocabulary in both languages. Difficulty settings mean the same game still works for an adult.
Teachers use the tools more than the games: picking a student at random, splitting a class into groups without an argument, and working out exact ages for school-entry cut-offs are weekly tasks. Students and parents come for the CGPA calculator around results season.
And a good share of the people here are adults who came for one game and stayed for the daily streak. Nothing on the site assumes you are a student.
How It Stays Free
Everything on CerdikCerdik is free to use. There is no paid tier, nothing is locked behind a subscription, and there are no in-game purchases. The site is funded by advertising, which is why you will see ads at the bottom of some pages.
An account is optional. You can play everything without one — it only saves your streaks and scores to the server so they survive a cleared browser cache and follow you between devices. How we handle the little data we do collect is set out in full in our Privacy Policy.
Our Values
Safe
A safe learning environment for everyone.
Bilingual
All content in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Focused
Learning goals built into every activity.
Safe by Design
Children use this site, so some things are deliberately absent. There is no chat, no comments, and no way for one player to send anything to another. Nothing can be bought, and no game asks for a payment method.
The leaderboard shows display names and points, and nothing else. Analytics cookies load only after you accept them, which is why the banner appears on your first visit rather than tracking you before you have said yes.
🌟
