Anagram gives you a word with its letters shuffled and asks you to put them back in order. Easy uses three-letter words, Medium five and Hard six — short enough to solve in your head, long enough that the number of arrangements is far too large to work through one by one.
You are not searching, you are recognising
A six-letter word has 720 possible arrangements. Nobody solves an anagram by checking them, and the feeling of the answer arriving all at once is the giveaway — this is pattern recognition, not search.
What your brain is doing is matching the available letters against words you already know, and the practical skill is feeding it better prompts.
Start with the endings
English words end in a small number of ways. If you can see ER, LE, ED or NG among your letters, try parking them at the end and rearranging what is left — a six-letter puzzle becomes a four-letter one, which is small enough to solve by eye.
The same works from the front with common openings like ST, CH, BR and PL. Fixing two letters at one end reduces the problem more than any other single move.
Count the vowels first
Vowels tell you the shape of the word before you know the word. Two vowels in a six-letter puzzle usually means two syllables with consonant clusters around them; four vowels means they must be spread out, since English rarely stacks three together.
This is why writing the letters out in a circle rather than a line helps — a line silently suggests an order that is almost certainly wrong, and the shuffled tiles here are deliberately laid out to break that suggestion.

The words are everyday English nouns and adjectives — animals, food, household objects, weather. Easy holds twenty three-letter words, Medium twenty five-letter words and Hard eighteen six-letter words, and the game avoids repeating a word until the list runs out.
